Ar. Kelvin W. is a Singapore registered Architect. He is a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) graduate from the University of Melbourne, and holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design, Architecture (B.Env.Des.) from the University of Tasmania, and a Diploma in Interior Design from LaSalle-SIA, College of the Arts (Dip.Int.Des.).
By influence of his father, Kelvin was exposed to buildings and design as a young boy – he was determined that he would want to eventually take on a career in this field. Naturally, this led to his debut into the built-environment. This portfolio is a compilation of a selection of works from his university, full-time employment, part-time and freelance projects since 2002.
Often intrigued and fascinated by the way things are put together, Kelvin found interest in the expression of structure in design and the use of framed views and geometry to tease and reveal spaces. In his constant self-questioning on the future of architecture, cities and the greater society, theories of Utopia and Dystopia became one of his subjects of interest.
In the pursuit of perfecting his craft, Kelvin finds constant joy in making big difference and change in people’s lives and the environment we all live in. This exciting journey in his life is only possible because of the tremendous support and encouragement from his family, friends, tutors and colleagues. This website is dedicated to every single one of them.
